My photo for my electronic health card

If you do not have any of the above options for sending us a photo, then come and see us at your AOK Customer Centre. There you can have a photo taken of yourself.

• Please use only a recent photo. It can be submitted in black and white or in colour.
• The background must not show any disruptive objects and should form a clear contrast to the face and hair.
• Your eyes must be open. If you wear glasses, your eyes must not be covered by the frames.
• Your face must be fully recognisable, even if you need to wear a head covering, for example for religious reasons.

• Please note the required format specifications for submitted photos in paper form:

- Minimum size 33 mm x 43 mm (3.3 mm x 4.3 cm)

• Passport photos are slightly larger and can be used.

If you submit a photo in paper form, it will be destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations after it has been transferred to our database. As we store your photos in our image database, we can easily issue you a new eGK if required. We handle the photo just as responsibly as we handle all other insurance data stored by the AOK.

Please understand that we cannot return the photo to you. The costs for the creation of the photo are also not reimbursed. You will receive the EHC free of charge.
